Mr. Rogalskyj specializes in patent law with an emphasis on chemical and biotechnology related inventions. In this regard, he has worked with a variety of chemical technologies, including polymers and polymer‑related additives (e.g., stabilizers and initiators), dyes (including photochromic dyes and laser dyes), pharmaceutical compounds, combinatorial libraries, sol‑gel technology, pesticides, pheremones, pollution control technologies, and alloys, as well as with a variety of biological technologies. His experience includes all aspects of patent prosecution, both foreign and domestic. In addition, Mr. Rogalskyj has counseled clients and prepared opinions with regard to patentability, infringement, patent validity, and licensing issues.

Mr. Rogalskyj began his law career as an intellectual property attorney at Nixon, Hargrave, Devans & Doyle, LLP (now Nixon Peabody, LLP), a general practice law firm in Rochester, New York.  In 1998, he co‑founded Braman & Rogalskyj, LLP, which was succeeded by Rogalskyj & Weyand, LLP in 2002 and ultimately evolved into his current practice.

Mr. Rogalskyj holds a Juris Doctor (magna cum laude) from State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law, a Master of Science degree in chemistry from the University of Rochester, and a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.  Prior to attending law school, he was employed for five years as a Research Chemist and Senior Research Chemist in the photographic and electrophotographic industries, where he focused on organic and organometallic syntheses.

Mr. Rogalskyj is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is admitted to practice in New York. He is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Association of University Technology Managers, and the New York State Bar Association.
